Seawind Ketch

Le voilier Seawind Ketch est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Allied Boat en États-Unis. Ce voilier Quille fixe, gréé en Ketch en tête, réalisé par l'architecte naval Thomas Gilmer avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 1.28 m. La production a démarré en 1962 et s'est terminée en 1982. 161 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

Originally designed for Kaiser Gale Force Yachts. Kaiser soon sold the molds to Allied Boat Co. After changing the cabin top and port arrangement, they began building in 1962.
Early contracted builders were Lunn Laminates of Port Washington, NY and F.L. Tripp & Sons, Westport, MA.

The SEAWIND was the first, as well as one of the last, boats built by Allied Boat Company. In 1978 it was brought back into production and actually built simultaneously with the newer SEAWIND II.Originally designed for Kaiser Gale Force Yachts. Kaiser soon sold the molds to Allied Boat Co. After changing the cabin top and port arrangement, they began building in 1962.
Early contracted builders were Lunn Laminates of Port Washington, NY and F.L. Tripp & Sons, Westport, MA.
(Allied eventually had it's own large plant in the Catskills, NY.)
