Leisure 17

Le voilier Leisure 17 est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Cobramold en Royaume-Uni. Ce voilier Biquille, gréé en Sloop en tête, réalisé par l'architecte naval Arhur C. Howard avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 0.65 m. La production a démarré en 1966. 3000 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

I have read differing references to how any L17s were produced in total. It was certainly in the thousands. Soe say approxiately 3,000 and others say it ay be as any as 4,500. Unfortunately the builders suffered a catastrophic fire and a lot of records were lost. Latterly they were also built elsewhere in Europe so nobody really knows. There are any in the Scandinavian area with a strong following.
