Le voilier Indian est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier William Chamberlain en États-Unis. Ce voilier Dérive pivotante, gréé en Sloop fractionné, réalisé par l'architecte naval Sa Crocker avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 1.17 m. La production a démarré en 1921. 100 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.
