Columbia 29 MKI

Le voilier Columbia 29 MKI est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Columbia Yachts en États-Unis. Ce voilier Quille fixe, gréé en Sloop en tête, réalisé par l'architecte naval Sparkman & Stephens avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 1.22 m. La production a démarré en 1961 et s'est terminée en 1965.

Présentation

The original mold and first hulls (1-4?) were built, almost singlehandedly by Larry Waters. (1960?).
The tooling somehow ended up in the hands of Glas Laminates, (later Columbia Yachts) and it became one of their most successful models.
A raised deck version was introduced in 1963 called the COLUMBIA 29 DEFENDER.
In 1965 there was a styling change with a new more streamlined deck and coach roof. (COLUMBIA 29 MKII).
Delivered with outboard well or optional gas inboard engine.(S&S #1501)
