Block Island 40-1

Le voilier Block Island 40-1 est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Aerican Boat Building en États-Unis. Ce voilier Dérive pivotante, gréé en Yawl en tête, réalisé par l'architecte naval William H. Tripp Jr. avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 2.57 m. La production a démarré en 1957.

Présentation

Originally called the VITESSE 40 and built in Holland. The molds were purchased by Beetle Boat Co. (a division of American Boat Building Co.)
This was one of the earliest production FG boats of this size.
Later, the molds were aquired by Metalmast Marine. The version they built has a separate spade rudder and reverse transom. (BLOCK ISLAND 40-2) and was built until 1978?.
