Beetle Cat

Le voilier Beetle Cat est construit par Beetle Boat en États-Unis. Ce monocoque, gréé en Cat boat avec pic en tête, réalisé par l'architecte naval John Beetle, mesure 3.76 m de long avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 0.61 m. La production a démarré en 1921. 3600 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

The real BEETLE CAT is a strict one-design class and built of wood.
After World War II, Carl Beetle, son of the designer, passed the rights for construction of the original Beetle Cat Boats to the Concordia Company.
Today (2014) it is built solely by the Beetle Boat Shop. (Beetle Cat Inc.)
There are, and have been, numerous boats modeled after the original Beetle Cat, of fiberglass and other methods of construction. (In the US and elsewhere.)The real BEETLE CAT is a strict one-design class and built of wood.
